Potassium phosphate dibasic trihydrate is a key component of potassium phosphate buffer, phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), and phosphate-buffered EDTA (PBE). It is extensively used in the preparation of biological samples for various biological experiments. Potassium phosphate buffer is also used in methods such as equilibrium dialysis, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and affinity capillary electrophoresis (ACE) to study the characteristics of drug-protein interactions in the body. Potassium phosphate buffer solutions consist of mixtures of the potassium phosphate monobasic and potassium phosphate dibasic forms. Application: Potassium phosphate dibasic trihydrate has been used in the preparation of potassium phosphate buffer for the resuspension of polyelectrolyte capsules. It has also been used as a buffer during glutaminase‑1 (GLS-1) enzyme assay and GLS-2 enzyme assay.
